Buying a house is a one-time decision for most of us. Investing all your life savings, and being in debt to the loan lender for years to come, is not an easy decision to make. The current scenario of the real estate sector has made it difficult for the potential home buyers to get into it and make the decision.

Government has been making conscious efforts to revive the real estate sector of the country. From tax benefits to lower interest rates, they are leaving no stone unturned to revive the industry. Even the developers have a lot of unsold inventory and what better time to sell them off than the festive season.

The sales of the real estate sector boost up every year around the festive time. The months from October to January is the most preferred time for the buyers to jump in the home buying. The developers take full advantage of the same and do not shy away from making sure that the buyers are benefited from their purchase. From offering them iPhones on booking to foreign tour, the developers do everything to interest the buyers.

This year as well, the developers have come up with many offers and freebies to attract the home buyers:

GST waiver:

in Delhi and NCR have waivered the GST taxes which adds another 5 percent burden on the property purchase. Some developers have offered free registry on their projects.

Down payment discounts:

developers are offering possession linked payment plan which allows the buyer to book a unit at the fraction of the cost. Some developers are allowing the home buyer to pay only thirty percent at the time of booking and the rest can be paid at the time of possession.

Gold coins:

better offer than to give gold coins to every buyer at the auspicious time of the festival. Some developers are offering the same which interesting the buyers because of the value of the gold.

Home Utsav:

developers have partnered with stores and other providers and they can avail discounts for the home products and discounts throughout the months.

Things to remember while taking the offer:
  • Even though the offers seem quite a catch, a home buyer should understand what the developer is offering and what benefit it gives him.
  • Rushing for freebies shouldn’t be the priority. Your requirements should be.
  • Free car parking, modular kitchen, free maintenance cost, stamp duty wavier is some of the offers one can look for.
  • Offers with heavy discounts on the units are a no-no. With the way the market is right now, the developers can't offer higher discounts.
  • One should understand what they are saving and gaining from the offers by the developers.
