Home stylist and decor consultant Shraddha Jhaveri uses a floral theme in a simple and subdued way to decorate a girl's room. Soft colours, rich textures and fabrics bring about a unique charm with luxurious embellishments fitted into the decor.

1. Headboard and cushions: Reflecting the princess theme, the daughter’s bedroom has a crown and pearl embellished sheer canopy on the wall.

2. Custom-print floral cushion on chaise: Violet and white colour palette with floral prints on wallpaper adds a feminine touch to the daughter’s room. Lace and a velvet upholstered chaise and a crimped headboard reiterates the feminine look.

3. (Left to right) Decorative touches: (1) The console displayed in the dining room is made of wood and veneer with metal legs in gold and beautiful design etched on glass. The border has been done with mirror pieces. (2) Locally sourced accessories such as a candlestand add glamour. (3) A bird cage light has been added to the daughter’s bedroom to match the colourful background, while the butterfly on the light gives a refreshing feel to the room. (4) The beautiful and elegant table lamp placed between the bed and chaise gives ample light to the room.

4. (Left) Wall concept: A special photoshoot was done to capture the different emotions of the occupant of this space. The wall is bedecked with frames in different shapes and mountings. (Right) Floral blinds: Floral blinds add a soft, romantic touch, besides adding colour to the space.
