Hiren Patel Architects (HPA) design a house for a client in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Putting art to best use, the apartment has a beautiful play of colours and elements. To give the abode a classic look, the interiors have been treated with a traditional touch and unique artefacts.
1. At one side, this beautiful living room faces the garden and the central courtyard from the opposite side. As the garden is located in the east direction, the whole living room is bathed in the scenic beauty.
2. This leisure courtyard acts as a connecting point between the living room and the bedroom.
3. Here, the marble cladding has been extended upwards from the floor covering half the wall placing the emphasis on the colourful painting.
4. Art and art objects have been beautifully used throughout to give a sense of style.
5. Although the background here is kept muted, decent and bright contrasting furnishing colours enhances the beauty of the room. The wooden furniture and the bright covers give a unique feel to the space.
6. This dining room is placed facing the courtyard so that you enjoy your meal staring at the greenery.
7. Full height windows have been used here to visually connect the space.
8. Here, the balcony on the first floor was covered to make way for a spacious bedroom and toilet. The triangle alcoves, skylights and plantation was used to give a spa-like effect in the bathroom.
