Decorate your living space by breaking a few rules and making use of elements such as antiques, luxurious fabrics with printed wallpaper, etc. Interior designer Deeksha Khatree gives few tips to decorate your living and dining area for the New Year.

Try to use sparkle on everything. Decorate home with glitters, star garlands, colorful bright balloons, spray painted bottles, Christmas Tree etc.
Place Light glittering candles on a candle stand and a flower bunch in the center of the table along with a decorative alarm clock. A gorgeous golden white dinner set will add grace to the table.
To give a glamorous metallic touch to your dining set-up, cover the table with glitter and sequined or metallic fabric table cloth.
Decorate the entrance gate with garland and floating candles.
For Living Room, use party Decals to decorate walls.
You can reuse the decorated Christmas tree again as a part of your New Year decoration too.
Arrange a table full of gifts wrapped nicely for friends and family. This table is the most important part of New Year’s Eve as gifts will make everyone feel happy.
You can use two colour themes for decoration. Either go for red and white with silver or you can try gold and black. Gold and black is an elegant and graceful colour combination but it is not very commonly used.
