There are always these two "P" factors which kept you away from vacation. Number one: pets, Number two: the plants. While the pets can join you, the garden refuses to leave. Here are some watering ideas by Ar. AlokBhagatto implant and keep your plants alive :

Drip irrigation : Sounds technical? Well drip irrigation is never that tough task. It is the form of irrigation which involves water onto the soil at very low rate. The process of installation is very simple and with a timer in drip irrigation, garden maintenance can be achieve like a pro.

Sprinker timer : The timer option like I mention above in drip irrigation can also works well with your sprinkler system. All you need is couple of sprinkler and connector hoses as per your garden size.

Self watering jugs : This DIY technique can be done by using old plastic bottles, cans or jugs in the home. Poke the tiniest pin hole in the lower side of your bottle/jug. Place it next to your plant and couple inches above the soil surface. Remember, the size of your bottle/cans/jugs must satisfy the water requirements proportionaling your vacation dates.

Water bulbs : Easily found in the market:Water bulbs are the easiest mean to water your soil thoroughly. All you need it to buy the perfect size for your pot, place the bulb before you leave and the water will slowly drip into the pot keeping the plant hydrated.

Garden Sitter : If you are going for more than 2 weeks, how about having someone to attend your garden ? Hire some to visit your garden twice a week and water your plants, turn the sprinklers on or to take care of the flowers. Check the garden team online or any home maintenance group .

Pest check : Pest check helps the garden keep producing and would not get attracted by the animals. Take action before you leave the garden unattended.

Shades : Be realistic with the climate . If it is hot, add protection above and side to your plants. Protect your leaves from burning. Hang some shade cloths, design the fence or plot a temporary wooden shade.
