With festivals like Dusshera, Diwali, Christmas, New Year and the Chinese Lunar Year, there are enough reasons to celebrate. Streets, homes and market places are lit up, attracting positivity and abundance. Vastu and feng shui consultant Rashi Gaur lists some wonderful symbols of prosperity that can be incorporated in your home decor this festive season.

1Kuber:

This God of wealth is a powerful symbol to have in the house. Place him in the North zone of the house to attract wealth. You don’t need to pray to him. Just give him a place of respect in your house.

2Laughing Buddha:

Similar to Kuber, Laughing Buddha is another symbol of prosperity and abundance. When a round robust happy and golden Laughing Buddha is placed in your house facing the main door it is said to attract abundance and prosperity into your house.

3Santa Claus:

Just like Kuber and Laughing Buddha in the Indian and Chinese mythology, we have a similar representation of abundance in the West in the form of Santa Claus. With the same exuberant face, Santa Claus is known to fulfil your wishes and get you things that your heart desires. When placed with the Christmas tree and a lot of twinkling lights, it uplifts the energy of the house and attracts good tidings. Don’t forget to display your very own tree and Santa this festive season. Let it come alive with red, green and gold lights.

4FukLukSau:

These 3 gods depict health, wealth and happiness and are powerful symbols to be displayed in the house. The best place for them is the dining room. Placing them near the dining table multiplies the abundance in your home.

5Chinese coins:

When 3 or 9 Chinese coins are tied together with a red thread and hung on the inside handle of the door, it helps in attracting wealth into the house.

6Vase with symbols:

Look out for vases that have good luck symbols made on them. Peacocks, flowers, flying birds, anything that depicts abundance, brings good energies into the home. You can display these vases anywhere in the house except the kitchen and double the good fortune by filling these vases with flowers that bring good energies in the way of harmony, peace, long life and happiness. Some flowers to choose from are lotus, orchids, lilies and magnolias. The same vase can be turned into a wealth vase by filling them with coins, money, crystals and semi-precious stones. Display them in your living room.
