6 simple tips to caring for fireclay sinks

Vishal Raman, Head of Sales, Franke Faber India, gives us some pointers on caring for and maintaining fireclay sinks.
- Fireclay sinks are heat resistant, hygienic and user-friendly and can be cleaned very easily. You just need a damp cloth to clean the sink. Mild soaps can also be used for cleaning purposes.
- These sinks should be regularly cleaned with soft sponge and mild soap or cleaning agents with vinegar base.
- If materials like knives/fork are left in the sink for a long time, they may cause stains.
- Scoring liquid or liquid powder should not be used otherwise it can damage the sink.
- Don’t use cleaners that are used to clean steel. Instead use ceramic cooktop or glass cleaners to get rid of stains caused from pointed objects.
- Avoid using highly concentrated drain cleaners in the sink to prevent damage.
