Festivals call for change in decor of a space. Rohit Gupta, Managing Director, Elementto Lifestyles, gives simple tips to deck up your walls with a festive look using wallpapers.
- To get the festive look, you can decorate the main feature wall with damask metallic design or retro design and the remaining walls can be decked up with plain matching paper. This changes the whole look of the space.
- Choose a main feature wall and use strong dramatic design with colourful florals on it. This is very much in trend right now and is another way to achieve the festive look.
- As far as colours are concerned, colours like brown, silver, gold or greys need to be used from wall to wall. Use these colours in plain metallic or slightly rough texture wallpaper. An important point to note here is to use any one of the mentioned colours in medium shade throughout.
- Another tip is to use gold cork design with matching damask wallpapers on other walls.
- For the entrance foyer, use floral or retro designs. This should be done on the first visible wall that appears to the guest when they enter. This gives a pleasant feel to the area and makes the guest feel welcome during festivals.
- If you have a temple in the house or for the prayer area, wallpapers in gold, silver or champagne tones are apt options to gain the festive look.
