Accent chairs are one of the easiest and the most practical option to decorate spaces. They can be instant attention grabbers as it can add interest to any space they are added to. Gopika Parekh, co-founder, The Fuchsia Lane, gives tips to make accent chairs stand out as statement pieces.
- Accent chairs can be used as a focal point while creating a particular look. You can keep chairs in clusters or place a single chair to make it stand out in a space.
- Placement of accent chairs is very important. Keep chairs with bold patterns and colours against a neutral background to avoid mishmash. Accent chairs can also be used surrounding your dining area to add spark to the space. Determine the use of the chair before you finalize the placement. For bedroom space, you can keep a chair that offers relaxation. Similarly for living area, a stylish piece can be used.
- Shape is another important factor to be considered while using accent chairs. Make sure you find a suitable location for chairs with unusual pattern or design. Also ensure that it goes well with the décor of the interiors. The accent chair should be able to maintain a balance with rest of the furniture.
