5 steps to ensure the smooth functioning of your vacuum cleaner

Regular vacuuming helps to get rid of debris and dust and promotes a clean and healthy indoor environment. Shashank Sinha, Sr GM-Marketing, Eureka Forbes gives you a few tips to ensure that your vacuum cleaners functions optimally.
1. Firstly, adhere to all the operating and safety instructions before using the appliance for the first time.You will get important hints on how to use the machine appropriately which will increase the longevity of the machine.
2. It is very important to clean the filter on a regular basis. For this, the dust cup should be emptied and the filter should be cleaned after each use or on a monthly basis. Once the cleaning process is complete, ensure that both the dust cup and the filter are totally dry before placing them back in the appliance. Rinse the parts with water only and air-dry them.
Change or empty the dust bag of the vacuum cleaner regularly, and wash the filter while doing this. Make sure you have unplugged the machine while undertaking any sort of maintenance activity.3. To avert any untoward incident or shocks, always unplug the vacuum cleaner from the main supply socket before and after cleaning.
4. Replace the filters immediately if they are damaged to avoid further damage to the product.
5. Always remember that the plug connectors must never come in contact with water. These items should only be cleaned with a dry cloth. Ensure that they are moisture-free all the time.
