We are always on the lookout for easy ways to clean home essentials. Here are a few simple tips to help you effectively achieve a clean home as and when desired.
 
  1. Avoid storing mops or brooms on the floor. Instead hang them so that it does not bend or accumulate dew.
  2. You can get rid of stains from your carpet using a simple solution of dish soap and hydrogen peroxide.
  3. Microwave the sponge at high temperature for 2 minutes to get rid of viruses and germs accumulated on it. Do not microwave metal sponges.
  4. Cabinets gather gunk over a period of time. A dish soap and scrubber is all you need to get rid of it.
  5. Window tracks can be cleaned easily with white vinegar and ear buds. Dip white vinegar in the bud and run it on the window tracks. Then remove the dirt with paper towel.
  6. Use waxed paper on the faucet to remove finger prints and spots from the faucets.
  7. To clean bath toys, prepare a solution of water and half cup white vinegar. Soak the toys in the solution for 1 hour and get rid of water.
  8. To remove debris and dust from exhaust fans in the bathroom, canned air can be used.
  9. To clean blinds, mix water and vinegar in equal proportion. Put clean socks in the solution and run it through the blinds.
  10. For cast iron pan, sprinkle kosher salt and clean with paper towel.
  11. Burnt pans can be cleaned using vinegar, water and baking soda. First pour water in the pan and add vinegar to it. Heat the pan. Once boiled, remove it from the stove and put 2 spoons of baking soda. Remove the solution and scrub.
  12. Stains of coffee mugs can be removed using hot water and baking soda. Let it sit for approximately 10 minutes. This will help get rid of stains.
  13. To get rid of stains from wooden chopping boards, all you need is lemon and kosher salt. Rub half a lemon on the stains and leave it for 15 minutes. Sprinkle salt on the board in such a way that it is covered with salt. Now take the lemon used before and clean the chopping board. Rub the board under clean water and dry to see the stains vanish. Do not use soap.
  14. Make a ball out of aluminium foil and scrub glass bakeware with soap solution to clean.
