There are mainly four components of PMAY under which the homebuyer can claim the benefit by providing his eligibility.
- In-Situ Rehabilitation: This facility is for the people who do not have pucca houses and live in the slums with their families.
- Beneficiary- Led Construction: This is for the applicants who have their own land can get the funds to construct their homes on their land.
- Credit- Linked Subsidy Scheme: Applicants who can afford to purchase the land or make renovations in the affordable home segment can apply for credit-linked subsidy scheme.
- Affordable housing in partnership: Applicants who do not own land to build the house or have money to buy one can claim the benefit under this plan.
Track PMAY application status in CLSS- Awas Portal
- The user is required to log in the website https://pmayuclap.gov.in/ with their unique ID to directly track the application.
- The unique ID is provided through SMS from CLAP within 24 hours of your lender submitting the application.
- After entering the unique ID on the portal, the user will get the OTP on their registered mobile number.
- Upon entering the OTP, the system will display the stages of beneficiary’s application.
- If the borrower or existing borrower is already the CLSS beneficiary who has received the amount in multiple disbursements, then CLSS tracker will display details of all past disbursement i.e., the date and amount of the previous disbursement.
- The user is required to login to the official PMAY website www.pmaymis.gov.in.
- Select the ‘Citizen Assessment’ option at the top.
- Select ‘Track your Assessment’ status at the bottom of the menu.
- The user will be redirected to a new page which will give two options to track: Track by Assessment ID or Track by Name, Father’s Name and ID Type.
- The user can choose either option of their choice.
- The user will have to enter further details such as state, city, ID type, father’s name, corresponding ID number and registered mobile number.
- The user can also enter the assessment ID and registered mobile number to track the application status.

On December 28, the government gave permission to construct 6.48 lac affordable units more. The entire affordable housing plan is for 1.12 crore and around 50 lac units are already constructed and ready to move in whole 30 lacs are in under different levels of progress.
