Interior designer Ankush Aggarwal of Ansa Interiors gives shape to a space where design takes centre stage. The aim of the project was to establish a form with many faces. On one side it is practical, functional and on the other visually pleasing and has longevity. The project gives an experience of a good design with collective balance and modern style.
- The drawing room has an urban feel to it. Colours are thrown in to accentuate the whole area. For example, brown coded with a dash of copper. Another colour palette that has been followed here is grey and beige. Grey paneling in leather has been separated with brass borders.
- The home theatre has been designed to give a starry night effect. The whole idea was to watch movies sitting right below the stars. The uplighter and downlighter form a dancing shadow. The decorative display of an old time gramophone and an old time camera along with the bottle green colour provides a transitional look and takes you back to old times.
- This living room has been designed in rustic style which proves the old adage that everything comes full circle. Rustic style’s unpretentious roots, organic textures and shapes, and natural warmth have been incorporated in the space. Natural and originality has been maintained as much as possible with a pulled out bark or a thinly sliced raw stone. Turquoise has been added in the cushions to give the space the required spark. Two back-lit panels have been added in between the stone with shelves in wood to keep collectables and accessories.
- This teenage room has been given an updated and unique feel with modern elements. The digital backdrop on the bed has been made in the form of computer pixels which is so much part of our daily life today. The wide digital backdrop area is made in MDF. Copper colour accentuates a few places in this room. Hidden lights give a subdued effect here. Deep brown colour used for the bed and mango colour used for the recliner is in strong contrast and knits the whole area together. Grey colour flooring gives a youthful look and feel and reiterates the personality traits of a teenager that combines a colourful life that is dominated by social media.
- Here, brass has been replicated at certain places over trimmings of the centre table and painting, the legs of the console and on the floor lamp in front of the mirror. Mirror has been added over the console and the backdrop of the sofa to increase the space of the whole room. Paintings in orange, green chairs and the use of orange stone on the wall add a unique feel to the space. Offbeat lights and decorative displays have been incorporated to depict owner's love of collecting art.
- The backdrop of the daughter’s bed back wall is made in FRP, which is an authentic handmade product and has vintage veneer. Orange colour used on the bed makes the room warm and feel instantly homely. Side lamps are as minimalistic or basic as it can be and just suitable for the use while adding accent to the room.
- The master bedroom has a sophisticated matured and neat look without any additional design. Leather paneling on the back with tapers has been used to accentuate the space with light effect. Brass trimmings on the handles of the side table drawers, methodical bed and the use of soft fabrics; all make it very livable and has been styled to meet the needs of the mid-aged couple's room.
- The stone used on the backdrop has been handcrafted with gold leafing in abstract patterns. It spells luxury. The washroom mirror frame in laser cutting has the same colour tone as of the gold leafing on the stone. Backlit onyx adds to the required drama while the vanity is sufficient to meet the requirements of the user.
