However, if you hire one person to handle the task, then the cost can be discussed upon.
The average cut for the broker is 2% for the deals under Rs 50 lacs and 1% for the deals above Rs 50 lacs. When hiring the same person to handle the deals, one can negotiate the payment of the agent.
Hiring a single person also makes it easier to keep track of the entire process. You only have to communicate with one person so there is no space of ambiguity and communication gap.

Cons:

It can be a difficult task to find an agent that deals with both buying and selling. It is the responsibility of the customer to find the right agent who can help them in both the buying and selling of the property. A wrong agent can take the entire process of buying and selling to the mud and you can be met with a bad experience.
If you are buying a property in one city and selling the other in another city, it is advised that you must hire two different agents. Local agents are more aware of the city and the pricing trends. They can help you fetch the right price property and choose the right location of your needs.
