Most of the time when we invest or buy something, certain thoughts cloud our heads and confuse us or make us feel guilty. When buying a property and making such a huge investment, these thoughts are no exception. Over thinking might not be a good idea in this case. After all, you have bought the property of your choice after doing months and months or research and negotiated the right price for it. It is worthless to let these thoughts make you feel guilty.

Certain thoughts that buyers should not entertain:

1. Was it too early?

After buying your dream house, sometimes buyers have second thoughts about it. They wonder if they have brought the property too soon and rushed for its deed. But in reality, no you have not. Buying a house after negotiating the right price in the desired location is a clever investment. Over thinking about it will only trigger your anxiety.

2. Did I pay a high price for the property?

After buying the property, most people try to compare it with what their friends have paid for the property. If any other person has paid for it less than the buyers feel bad or rethink if they negotiated the right amount. Property prices are affected by a lot of things. So don’t over think about the lesser amount that your friend might have paid. The price of the property that you have brought has been affected by the factors like location, connectivity etc.

3. Was there, even more, window for more negotiation:

Often other people brag about how they could have negotiated the property more for you or have gotten you a better deal. Well, they are wrong. The property market in India has been suffering for a while now and in this case giving more than necessary discounts by the developers is not possible. Just remember you have gotten the best deal you could have to get your hands on. There’s no use for thinking about further discounts or better deals.

4. I could have waited a little more:

To be fair, better options for property keep coming up in the market every now and then. But will that suit your requirements is the question? You don’t know when or how there will be a new project to meet your needs. The property you have brought suits both your pocket and need now. Why over think about the future. Saving more money and waiting few more months would have gotten you another better property. But right now with the current property, you have bargained a good deal.
