But still, to know the ground reality, you need to depend on some unlikely sources. Just going through the description, images of the property and locality or researching about the area and locality might not be enough if you are looking to buy a property there and settle down in future. So from where you can get the actual reality to help you take the right decision.
Try to speak to someone that can be a friend or colleague who regularly travels up and down from that locality to know about the traffic condition in that area. Those who actually travel from that area will be able to tell you the actual condition. And it’s better to know about that area before deciding to move in permanently.
While buying a home, you might be checking the availability of water but do check this aspect as well. Water is a necessity and with decreasing quality of water in different regions, it gets important to know about the quality of water that flows in that particular area. As after shifting if you see that the water quality is not up to the mark, then it becomes too late to change your base again. If you are staying in a rented accommodation then its fine but if you are planning to move your base permanently then you might be in a hitch with no option left. If you know someone who stays in that area, then it will be great but if you don’t know then while visiting the locality try to ask people who are staying there (if you get to meet someone though).
If you are not able to meet anyone, then speak to the staffs who are employed at the project. They could tell you about electric and water supply in that area. They might also tell you other related problem in that area or some additional information related to markets, transportation or hospitals. Also, local shopkeepers, hawkers, vendors can be some other useful sources to gather information about a property or project that you want to buy.
