So now buyers prefer to buy with their partners as co-applicants, in this way the burden also gets reduced and the investments become more secure. Hence, nowadays couples plan to buy property even before they get married. But how to do it as if not planned properly, it can create a lot of confusion in the later stage and can further hamper relationship.

Here is the checklist that the couples remember while planning to buy property together.

Be open and transparent: before starting up anything, it is important to discuss everything openly with your partner. Plan your all moves; be clear about the responsibilities and finances that both the partners will share. Discuss your earnings and spends together. Plan the budget properly keeping in mind expenses as well. It might be a tedious task to make budget combining both of the partners earning but it whelp in the long run. Such conversation will help to manage savings while seeking a decent loan amount. Also, discuss the tax complications and titles before moving forward and signing the documents.

Keep your finances straight: start budgeting at a very initial stage. If there is any extra expense then it is better to keep it forward. Information regarding any loan, credit card payment needs to be shared with each other. Calculate both of your savings and the accordingly decide the loan amount you will be requiring and can handle on the same hand. Also divide expenses equally.

Document everything: once both the partners are clear and decided about every aspect, get an agreement made and signed. The will not only protect both the individuals rights but also document everything. If anything goes wrong then the agreement can act as saviour. If required get a pre-nup done. This will record loan payment and address the financial issues as well.

Along with responsibility, a house brings lots of happiness as well. It is one of the biggest assets that an individual does in his or her lifetime. Therefore to avoid unwanted hassles due to property after getting married it is advisable and also necessary to make a detailed plan and start accordingly to achieve the dream of owning a house together.
