Shifting to a new property is always a time taking as well as an expensive matter. However, nowadays we take the support from the team of packers and movers to plan the whole process but still, you need to be getting involved in the complete process. During this process, there is a high risk of wear and tear of your belongings while being transferred which can again incur additional cost.
So, here are some small tips which can save few bucks and make the transfer process bit smoother for you:
Leave old things behind: While you are moving to a new property you have already planned everything new. So it's better that you leave the old things behind that you would not need and it will definitely lessen your burden.
Packing properly: If you pack things properly then you can save a lot of money. don’t just pack with newspapers rather use bubble wraps for delicate items and arrange some big cartons. Place them carefully one by one to avoid any kind of wear and tear which in return will save the cost of repairing further.
Try to do something yourself: If you are really short on budget, then you can do the packing part yourself and keep only the moving bit for the movers and packers guys. If you still want to save on the budget then do the moving bit also by yourself.
Avoid moving on peak days: Movers and Packers might charge you more if you move on weekends or on odd days. It will be better if plan on weekdays and in the day time to avoid that extra higher charges.
Keep valuable item with you: Make sure that valuable and expensive items like jewellery, documents or any other things to keep with yourself. During the shifting process things might get lost, so be extra cautious for such things.
