For good health, a person should also follow the vastu rules which are really beneficial:
- When you go to sleep, avoid sleeping with your head towards north. Always prefer sleeping with your head towards the South or East direction. This will ensure that you get peaceful sleep.
- Try facing the East or North direction while having your meal.
- Kitchen should preferably be in the SouthEast direction. Avoid having a kitchen in the NorthEast direction as it leads to health issues in women.
- Always try not to construct the toilet and kitchen next to each other. Ensure both the rooms have a good amount of distance between them to evade negative energies.
- Avoid having overhead beams in the house because they lead to a disturbed mind and also avoid sitting or sleeping under exposed beam.
- Growing a tulsi plant in your house is really auspicious. Stay away from plants like cactus, rubber or milky plant as they lead of ill health. Also, for good health, grow citrus on both sides of the gate of your house.
- Make sure to have the boundary of the house of the similar length as that of the gate.
- As per vastu Shastra a staircase located in the exact center of the house creates health problems. So make sure to construct the staircase towards the corner.
- Make sure that the floor elevation is towards the south. This helps maintain good health.
- The way you cook or eat also has an impact on your health even in vastu. Cooking with your back towards the door also leads to illnesses like backache, shoulder and leg pain. Also, ensure that you face the SouthWest or the south direction while eating, drinking or even cooking.
- Try and prefer using wooden beds for sleeping instead of metal beds. This helps in avoiding health problems related to heart and brain.
- Having an image of Lord Hanuman facing the South direction as it brings good health in the family.
- Avoid keeping heavy and bulky furniture in the centre of the house as it is the Brahmasthan (refers to the centre location of the building or the house) which should be kept preferably empty. The Brahmasthan requires having free and empty space without any pillars or beams as this area keeps the whole house energized and prevents illness.
