We discuss all the amenities that the tenants look for now:
1. Location of the property:
A well constructed property is not enough, its location matters too. The civic and social amenities, transportation, connectivity etc play an important role when a tenant decides to rent an apartment.
2. Parking space:
Parking spaces are treated as a luxury now. When there are too many families living in a building, the parking space inside or outside the property is not enough to accommodate all the vehicles, keeping in mind most of the households own one or more vehicles. Providing them with a dedicated parking space is a pre- requisite for most of them. You can even charge a slightly higher rent for the same.
3. Walk- in closet:
The place or a small room to store all the clothes, shoes and bags make the room look clutter free and clean. This is a plus for most of the tenants these days. Walk- in closets adds to the luxury of the property. This will only fetch you a good rent or money if you decide to sell the property in later stages.
4. Smart homes:
As the technology is making way to our daily lives in every way, more and more people choose to rely on it. Providing those smart locks and a sophisticated security system will help you fetch good rent for the same while providing a good deal to the buyer.
5. Pet policies:
Most of the potential tenants look for the property that allows them to own a pet. Pets have become an important part of one’s life and providing them the freedom to own a pet will attract more potential tenants. Make sure that your property is pet friendly.
6. Outdoor space:
Space more than the four walls is the luxury in the property. Providing them with a balcony or a garden will help you fetch good rent and more and more tenants will be more than happy to pay for the same.
7. Appliances:
Not everyone invests in appliances. If you are renting the apartment to singles or students it will be a great idea to provide them will basic appliances like refrigerator, AC, mixer grinder or a microwave. This will help you get a higher rent for the facilities while reducing the burden of the tenant to buy them separately.
