Do you want to stay away from harmful chemicals to clean stuff at home? Take a look at these home staples and how they serve as effective cleaning agents.
- Hydrogen peroxide: Clean your carpets using hydrogen peroxide. It gets rid of all the dust and dirt accumulated on it. This is also effective as bleach. Combine lime juice and hydrogen peroxide and use instead of your regular bleach.
- Lemon: To get rid of lime scale deposits from faucets all you need to do is rub some lime juice on it and let it stay all night. Take a wet cloth and clean the faucet. Cut a lemon and keep it in the kitchen corner or sink to keep bad odor or smell at bay.
- Borax: Used in cleaning products, this agent can be used to drive away pests. You can put some near the walls to keep rats, ants etc. away.
- Salt: An excellent cleaning ingredient, you can use salt to clean your sink. All you have to do is pour hot water and salt to get rid of bad odour and dust accumulation.
- Vinegar: You can disinfect any surface in the house using vinegar. Pour a few drops in the bottle and spray on any surface.
- Oils: Rosemary oil is an excellent cleaner. If you have run out of your dish soap at home you can use this oil to clean your dishes. You can also combine olive oil and aloe vera gel for the same. Keep your hands free of paint by rubbing some olive oil.
- Vodka: To get rid of splashes from mirror surfaces, dip a little cotton in vodka and clean the mirror. Mildew can be removed using vodka. Just spray it on your shower surfaces and bathtub.
- Castile soap: This soap in its liquid form, easily available in grocery stores, can be used effectively to get rid of bacteria from stovetops. Mix water with this soap to remove the formation of grease.
