Its almost a new year knocking for new possibilities. You might have vowed to remain fit, upgrade your knowledge, travel new places or reaching most audience. In short : Making the most of coming time by making little steps of positive difference towards yourself. But what about your home ? The place where you spend most of your time , living it, loving it throughout your time. Below are seven new year resolutions for your home for the perfect spirit of new beginning :

  1. Work out a weekly Cleaning system

    Keep your house on track by scheduling time to spend organizing , sorting and removing unwanted items from your home. Start by dividing the schedule into two format – 1) Daily activity and 2) Weekly cleaning. Hire a help or work on your own : Focus on one type of cleaning at a time. It's faster and easier.

  2. Get the holiday chaos in order

    Do you always felt putting Diwali decoration , Christmas decoration or any festival décor a stressful act because of the miss leading storage of decoration items. Look at the holiday decoration you owe and anything new you plan to buy. Organize festival belongings with marked boxes to fit everything and clear the space. Streamline your stuffs.

  3. Shrink your place by shrinking carbon prints

    Trim house energy by adopting environment friendly home habits. Lear to proper recycle , reuse materials. Remember to turn off the lights, take a control over water use. Going a step further, install green rated home appliances , make the best use of solar panels . This way not only you contribute towards a better future, but also cut down your bills significantly.

  4. Safety first

    Put some efforts in making the house safe and healthy . Ensure that you are not living in a fire, health or security risk. Install the best of fire and security filters you always wanted . Mark the best healthy surrounding by dumping all the waste in your locality. You can also install door and window alarms by keeping your home update with latest safety standards.

  5. Plant more Celebrate more

    How about introducing a new plant to your garden once every month. Try something organic. Plant a tree in your yard and spend some time together with your family. How about altering seasonal plants every season. Not only it keeps your garden refreshing and young, but also generates a sense of friendly attitude towards nature with increase in landscape knowledge of your kids.

  6. Buy one, Give one

    Replace some of your home belongings , right from your old dining room table cloth to the old electrical with the new ones. Donate all the home items including the decor, clothing , electrical etc you hardly use. Even ditch old herbs and spices that haven't been use in about an year. Donate excess pantry items to a local food bank. Not only it declutters your place, but also will make a good impact in someone's life.

  7. Make your place more welcoming

    Get your place ready to entertain your guest. It is not necessary to remodel or renovate your home to match your expected standard, despite start with some mini home improvement DIY techniques, rearrange your furniture layout and anything better which makes your home seem more 'finished'.
