Study space is an area that requires focus and positive vibes. Interior designer Sneha Samtani shares a few points to make the area more engaging and fun to live in.
- Use a white glass with magnet called back-painted magnetic glass as a white board. Available in different colours, this can be further enhanced with clips to hang your reminders for notes. Magnetic duster is another add-on that can be used.
- For overhead storage, you can have a niche to put up photo frame or family photo. A Buddha statue in the space encourages one to focus. The décor could depend on the age group of the kid.
- Another way to spruce up the study space is to use candles. You can use candle stand anywhere in the house. Multiple candles can be used in the study space as per the likes of the inhabitant. Choice of the design can be according to the inhabitant.
- Open bookshelf is considered a no-no according to vastu. Always close the book storage with shutters as it is said that knowledge ponders around the space if left open.
- Instead of laminate, you can make use of the same glass with magnet on the shutters as it makes the space look lighter. This enhances the look and gives a lighter feel to the space.
- For religious individuals, place a small idol of God in the study area. This helps the kid occupying the space to focus better apart from leaving a serene vibe around.
