6 vastu tips to store items in the right direction

A store room is a place to store materials that are not used often and items purchased in large volumes. Such items need to be stored in a particular direction in the house where the store room should be created. However, you should always remember that as East, North and North East zones should always be kept open and light, it is not advisable to construct a store room in these directions. Expert SK Mehta lists the vastu tips to keep in mind while storing items in the store room to get rid of illness and unwanted tensions.
- North West: This direction is considered good to store grains for animals, which helps in strengthening the economic situation and gain respect in the society.
- Between East and South East: This place is considered auspicious to make curd. You can also store food items like fruits, vegetables, rice, pulses, grocery, etc, in a rack constructed in this direction.
- Between South East and South: If items like ghee and oil are stored in the kitchen in this direction, it is said that the house would always be full of food and will never run out of stock.
- South West: Heavy items like blankets, mattresses, suitcases, bags, folding stairs, ladders, drill machine and other equipment can be stored in this direction. Storing cereals and grains in this direction may cause pests to attack them.
- West: Rough papers, old newspapers, old furniture, utensils of large size, shoes, etc. can be stored in this direction.
- South: Wooden material, furniture board, hoardings, banners, electronic equipment like motors etc. can be kept here.
