Pet owners are decorating and remodelling their living spaces with their pets' needs in mind, turning pet-friendly decoration into a full-blown trend. Vaibhav Jain, CEO, Deco Window shares some of the Pet-friendly décor ideas:
- Blending colours : -
When choosing colours for your room, your pet can be a great source of inspiration. Spend less time vacuuming; instead, choose carpets or rugs that coordinate with your pet's fur. It is one of the smartest ways to deal with fur shedding because it won't be as visible. - Give your carpet amiss :-
Carpets and rugs get dirty very easily. Carpet absorbs odours, traps pet hair and soaks up inevitable pet-related stains like a sponge. It is better to avoid these items as cleaning them on regular bases can be a waste of time and energy. - Be stain-free :-
Do you love silk and velvets? Well so does the stains that are left behind by your pets. It is better to search for alternatives that are nearly indestructible, synthetic fabric that are stains, smells, and bacteria resistant. Use beddings that are easy to wash, stainless and highly durable. - Pet-friendly Decors :-
All pets aren't always aware of their surroundings and they don't mean to cause any trouble, one must make special consideration when decorating your place pet-friendly. Décor items that are fragile or susceptible to scratches or other breakables may end up as a victim under your pet's waging tails or clumsy paws. Place them at a height so it can remain out of their reach. Wall shelves are a good option to counter this problem. - Window Treatments :-
Nothing compares to the tranquillity your pet feels when peering out a window to watch their owner return to them or simply enjoy the view outside. Give a skip to thick curtains or any window accessories that deprive them of their fun. Make use of lightweight, sheer fabric curtains that will allow them to enjoy their view. If you have blinds, make sure you pull them up so they don't bring it down accidentally. - Build a pet area :-
Even your ever hyper pets feel the need to snuggle in their bed and rest their paws. Build them a nice area and fill it comfortable cushions and beddings so they can recharge themselves after a long day at a park.
