Shelves can be used to make bold statements. Let’s see how...
- Use open shelves to divide the space instead of a wall or other partition options.
- If you have an open shelf, paint it with the same colour that has been used in the room and place colour co-ordinated objects on each shelf.
- An empty shelf at the corner of any room can be used to create a gallery wall. Place black and white photo frames of different sizes on these shelves. Family photos can be kept on one shelf, children’s project in the second shelf and so on. This way you can achieve a clutter-free look.
- Give your television wall a quick makeover by adding gadgets such as speakers, etc. around it on the shelf. You can also put stylish artefacts on display here to balance out the space.
- If you have a big shelf and a lot of items to display, remember to space them out. Do not overcrowd them on one shelf. Group collectibles by colour or materials for better impact.
- Display your wine bottles on vertical shelf and place it horizontally. You can label these shelves with respective names.
