A vastu-compliant house will always make its residents feel calm and relaxed. But there may be a lot of you who always feel uneasy and anxious. Some of you may also be feeling the brunt of unnecessary bickering with other family members and some of you may always feel stressed. Vastu and feng shui consultant Rashi Gaur gives a few tips that can help to make the mind peaceful and bring a calm aura to the residents.

  1. North East is the zone of the mind. If this direction is cluttered, you will never find peace in the house. Ensure that there is no store room, kitchen or toilet in this zone as it attracts negative energy.
  2. Bright colours such as red and maroon in the North East zone should be replaced with soft earthy colours. For clarity of thought and peace of mind, place a statue or painting of Buddha here.
  3. Avoid placing a washing machine or an inverter in the North East direction as it can cause stress and tensions. If this is the case, remove these promptly.
  4. Ensure there are no cuts in the North East zone as it causes undue stress to the mind.
  5. Avoid sleeping in the rooms that are located in the South East or North West zone as these zones may also cause anxiety and negative feeling when used as a bedroom.
