Carpets are among the necessary accessories to be included in your home decor. They not only provide comfort but also oomph up the style quotient of your home. Mohit Mishra lists out different kinds of carpets for different rooms.
- Living room
do measure the area of your living room first. If you want a wall to wall carpet then go for a sisal carpet. It's easy to maintain and helps absorbing dirt. And if you plan for only sitting area then you can opt for a Kashmiri Kaleen, shag carpet or a silk rug. - Dining space
a high or a low pile carpet in nude or pastel shade make the area look rich and larger.
- Bedroom
this room is all about comfort so opt for a low-pile or a wool carpet in light colours. These two types of carpet give a cosy look and are also easy to maintain. You can place the carpet right in from of the bed. - Study room
your study room is your personal space to relax so give your study room a vintage feel with a silk carpet or a Kashmiri Kaleen. You can pick warm tones like maroon, brown and golden.
- Bathroom
opt for a plastic runner outside the shower to skip the risk of falling down due to wet feet. If you have a large bathroom then you can place a small shag rug in your vanity area.
