White is considered to be a colour of peace which is what most of wish now-a-days. An all-white room can be incredibly soothing or painfully dull. There is no in between, which is why many people don't consider an all-white room for their interior. There arises many questions like which furniture will blend in well? Which style will create an aesthetic and welcoming look? And so on. To answer these questions, here are few do's and dont's to help you visualise and create a better all-white interior :

1 ON SELECTING YOUR WHITE

Selecting a white may appear to be an easy task but finding the right shade based on preferences and overall desired look is not a matter of simple picking. The tone ranges from warm to cool. Natural light, desired look and tone should be considered before choosing a final shade of white. More natural light means the room will have warmer tone which can be balanced by cooler tone of white while a room with less exposure to natural light will be balanced by artificial lighting and will have cool appeal so warmer tone of white will look pleasing. Colour palette selection can be confusing as many may appear to fit the room. The correct colour for space depends on what you are blending in together as there are 3 palettes to pick from named : complementary which pairs as colour contrast , split complementary in which addition to the base colour, we uses the two colours adjacent to its complement on colour wheel, and tonal in which we use tones from same colour family.

2ON FINDING FURNITURE

White works as an excellent background to put anything in front of it. Btu this technique should be avoided A careful and planned approach should be taken which highlights a theme of the room. The common approach is when we consider clean lines and hard corners like metal as the variation metal provides ranges from modern to contemporary. For cozy environment, we can approach wooden furniturewith a rug stretching enough to stay beneath all the core furniture like sofa, arm chair, table. A rug can also add depth to the room's theme based on its texture.

3 ON STRIKING A BALANCE

White colour is all about staying in a neutral colour theme. The furnishing can shift this neutral balance from eye striking to oddly specified real quick. The depth and variation should not be off key and should be balanced. Furniture, interior, any art piece, vase, crockery, etc. being put for show should all blend together to form a neutral and welcoming environment.

4 ON CHOOSING GREENERY

Having greenery at home has proved to be among the most beneficial way of living, it strengthens physical health and mental state. Indoor plants creates a perfect relaxing environment. The choices are a lot from different aspects i.e. based on need, based on maintenance, based on style, etc. You should pick one which fits with the room and adds to the aesthetic should be considered.

5ON ADDING ARTWORK

Everyone have his/her unique choice when it comes to art. Artworks can be used to highlight the theme of the room or to highlight the personal taste of the person. White space acts as a canvas to add frames to it. Artworks can act as a cover up for any fumble or interesting feature for any all-white theme.
