5 preventive measures to keep fire away

There are several preventive measures that can be taken to stop fire hazards. Let’s take a look at a few of these.
- If there are cooking activities like boiling or frying stuff taking place in the kitchen ensure that there is constant supervision. Keep children away at such times for safety reasons.
- Always ensure that flammable things like kitchen towels, cloths used to clean utensils etc. are kept far away from the gas.
- Do not wear tight fitting or satin clothes in the kitchen. Instead wear lose cotton clothes to prevent damage caused due to fire.
- Keep an eye on the food while it is on the stove top. You can keep a reminder if you are engaged in some other activities. Always clean your kitchen space and appliances clean.
- To prevent spillage, keep the covers of utensils on the side and unplug all the kitchen electric appliances if not in use after switching it off.
