Home decor accessories are something that adds to the beauty of your home and gives a personalised touch as well. But which accessories to choose for your home as there are numerous ones. Mohit Mishra, Founder, Urban Upgrade list out 5 necessary accessories for home decor.
- A couch: its a necessity in every home but also a beautiful accessory to beautify your home. Select sofa or couch as per the size of your room. You can go for 3, 4 or even 7 seaters. Add some statement chairs and some ottomans. When not in use they look like decorative pieces.
- Lighting: lighting can do wonder in home decor apart from being just used for the lighting purpose. Try using a combination if different lightings such as decorative lighting, task lighting or utility lighting. Opt for LED lighting for better shelf life and energy conservation. Depending on the size of the living room you can opt for a chandelier and soft light in the bedroom.
- Decorative pieces: art pieces are always welcome in home decor. You can jazz up the corner of your walls with decorative art pieces. Or make book shelf in the corner. Place a sculpture against the wall or even a hanging painting can beautify your home. Vases are also a good option as decorative pieces.
- Rugs: we often ignore them but rugs build up the glamour quotient. There are numerous variations of rugs available in the market, be it in different colours, sizes, patterns or fabrics. Choose according to your choice and home decor.
- Mirrors: mirrors help in making the space look bigger and spacious. But they are also a beautiful decorative art piece when use if different colours, shapes, size and frames such as metallic or wooden. Placing together gives a unique look to the space.
