The festive season is in full swing and people start thinking of unique ways to decorate their homes to welcome Ganpati idols. This is amongst the most cherished season where everybody is geared up to welcome the elephant god in their own different ways. Here are few ideas by Vaibhav Jain, CEO, Deco Window to sizzle up the decoration game.

  1. Light: Playing with lighting arrangement can help in creating an amazing set for Ganpati idol placement. One can create a beam structure using cardboard box. Wrap the beam structure with fairy lights to create a magical feel. You can also use garden torches or tall lamps on both sides of the decoration to create a royal look.
  2. The curtain backdrop: One of the simplest and most elegant ways of decorating a setup for the Ganesh festival is by using an elegant curtain in the backdrop. The pair of the same curtain can be used to cover up the stage for Ganpati idol too. This consistency in decoration creates a professionally look and gives a warm and welcome feel.
  3. Eco-friendly initiative: Going green is the most preferred way to decorate these days. Go ahead and add a twist to it. You can use nursery flower plants to decorate the periphery of your basic decoration. These plants can later be potted. Also, there is no wastage of decorative material as these plants can be reused in the garden.
  4. Flower valences: For people who welcome Ganpati for a short duration of 1-3 days can go for a more creative option. They can use flower valences to decorate the stage. Use marigold flower valence as they stay fresh for 2-3 days. You can also use fresh flower strings of leaf strings to decorate the setup.
  5. Color crazy: One of the easiest ways to trendily decorate your Ganpati stage is use a colour theme. Opt for a single colour and then use its various shades to decorate the stage. This will make your decoration stand out. For example, if you opt for white, then make sure that the decoration has white flowers, white lights, off-white background, Dutch white base.
