Escape dull and gloomy monsoon weather this season and create a fresh palette for your home with warm and vibrant tones to enjoy the long spells. Sonam Gupta, Design Head, Tangerine lists the colour trends for the monsoon season.
- Turquoise: Decorate your home with colours that are associated with the weather. Turquoise is the closest bet and finest as it adds luxury and gives a soothing feel. The colour can be used on curtains and cushions.
- Yellow: This colour has an influential impact on homes. Shades like ochre, amber, sepia and russet are a great way to perk up your home when it's pouring outside. These shades of yellow make homes a happy place.
- Violet: For a mysterious feel and classic touch, violet is the best option. A soothing shade of blue can be used to add aqua element. This introduces a fresh element to the space.
- Neutrals: Going in for neutrals is always a safe choice. Earthy browns and cooling greys create a perfectly warm and cool balance. These can be paired with both darker shades as well as brighter colours. Light violet is becoming a favourite. Paired with neutrals it emits a royal element to the space. It can be styled to look both luxurious as well as conventional in nature.
- Green: It is widely recognized as the colour of the year. It represents refreshment and rejuvenation. It’s a youthful colour and can be paired with neutrals beautifully. It’s vibrant but at the same time not bright. Green is also the colour of nature and therefore adds the right amount of freshness.
