Granite is a popular material for kitchen sinks. Vishal Raman, Head of Sales, Franke Faber India, sheds some light on the maintenance of granite sinks.
- Due to the non-porous characteristic, granite sinks are not only durable, but also very long lasting and hygienic. To clean, use a nylon brush and cleaning agent and wash off with water.
- To remove any kind of stains from the sink, clean it with soft scrub, dishwasher soap, white vinegar or mild bleach solution, and to get rid of rust, cleaning agent that contains cleaning agent can be used.
- Avoid cleaning the granite sink with solutions containing strong alkalies like ammonia and caustic soda solutions.
- To rinse the sink, you can use hot water with mild soap. Ensure that no chemical is left in the sink after cleaning. Use a dry cloth to wipe after cleaning.
