Everything blah is vogue again. Never ceasing to keep us on the edge, designers seem to have resurrected the most ordinary surfaces, trims, and furnishings you would never expect to see in a well-designed home. ReeshabAgarwal, Managing Director, Stellar Furnishings shares some vintage trends that are coming back in fashion.
- In the olden days fabrics were limited in the country on which it was worked upon and more evolved pieces came from it. As the connections were not good enough it stayed in the place of origin. Colours those were used were pastel colours that were particularly popular were pink, turquoise, mint green, pale yellow and blue are definitely in nowadays.
- Designs like Ikkat, Paisley and Damskus prints were widely used. Ikkat has many different types of designs like double Ikkat or Wrap Ikkat. Nowadays, Ikkats are largely used in various fabrics like in sofa sets, table runner etc. Paisley is a kind of a design originated from early Persia and then came to India after the Mughals.
- Damask mainly came from the Byzantine Empire and was spread widely.
Stellar Furnishings are bringing the designs from the past but with a tinge of difference with Indian Ethnic colours. For better understanding, we are attaching few of the images of fabrics
