Each abode is different and needs to be treated differently to attract positive energy. The laws differ for apartments, be it a high-rise apartment or a studio apartment. Therefore it is probably important to look at a condominium as a whole as it is to concentrate on your own apartment. While there are limited options for apartments as against houses where you can renovate more easily, vastu and feng shui consultant Rashi Gaur lists things to keep in mind when choosing an apartment to move into.
- Make sure that the condominium is in proper shape. If important corners are cut or missing it may cause issues to the lives of those who have apartments there.
- A field, water body or meandering road that looks like a stream is great to have in front of the condominium to attract good energy.
- The condominium should look well maintained. Bright hall at the entrance always attracts good energies to come and stay.
- Make sure that there are no high rise structures (higher than your own building) directly facing you. However it is auspicious to have a higher building than yours behind your building.
- Avoid buying an apartment in a condominium that is directly facing a flyover or a very busy highway. The strong ever moving energies are generally not conducive for living.
- Make sure there are no buildings with pointed structures aiming directly at your building. These act like poison arrows and disrupt the good energies.
- The lifts and staircase should not look dilapidated as it may attract negative energy.
- If the apartment is below the 9th floor, the facing of the condominium or the entry direction is as important as the facing and the entrance to your individual apartment. If the apartment is above the 9th floor, the entrance to the condominium won’t really matter that strongly. In such a case the entrance to your own apartment takes prominence. The direction should be where you have the largest and maximum windows and balconies. Ensure that there are maximum balconies and windows towards the North and East. If a swimming pool is visible from here, it attracts good energies.
- With limited scope to change anything much in an apartment, it is crucial to stick to right colours while doing up the house. One of the important things to keep in mind is to not have red tones in the North and to not have blue and black colours in the South.
- Keep the energies lifted by using good quality decor and keeping protective symbols like foo dogs and elephants flanking the entrance, etc.
- While choosing a studio apartment, ensure at least one window is for air circulation so that the room does not smell, attracting negative energy.
- At all times, big or small, ensure that your abode and entrance is kept clean and devoid of all clutter.
